Promoting the formation of Co (III) electrocatalyst with diamond anodes

Summary: This study investigated the catalytic effect of electrode substrate on the electrochemical oxidation of cobalt (II) using boron-doped diamond (BDD) anodes. The results showed a significant increase in Co (III) formation with Ta/BDD electrode compared to Si-BDD anode, indicating the importance of substrate material in influencing electrode behavior. This research provides insights for improving the efficiency of mediated electrolytic treatments based on cobalt, with potential industrial applications in pollutant treatment.
