The structures of three cycloartane glycosides isolated from Astragalus falcatus Lam. were elucidated, including two new compounds. The structural elucidation of the isolated glycosides was based on mass spectral and PMR and C-13 NMR spectroscopic data.
The structures of three cycloartane glycosides isolated from Astragalus falcatus Lam. that were cyclogalegigenin derivatives were elucidated. Compound 1 was cyclogalegigenin-3-O-beta-D-(3 '-Oacetyl) xylopyranosyl-(2 '-> 1 '' )'-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-6-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (cyclofalcoside A); compound 2, cyclogalegigenin-3-O-beta-D-(2 '-O-acetyl)xylopyranosyl-6-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (cyclofalcoside B), which were new compounds. The structures of the isolated glycosides were elucidated using mass spectral and PMR and C-13 NMR spectroscopic data.
