A Causal Role of the Cerebellum in Auditory Feedback Control of Vocal Production

Danhua Peng et al.

Summary: This study provides causal evidence that the cerebellum is involved in auditory feedback control during vocal production. Stimulation of the cerebellum led to enhanced and slowed vocal compensations for pitch perturbations, which may be related to its inhibition on the prefrontal cortex controlling vocal compensation behavior.
