Experimental determination of sediment transport capacity of concentrated water flow over saturated soil slope

Yuhan Huang et al.

Summary: A methodological strategy was developed in this study to measure the sediment transport capacity (STC) on saturated soil slopes. The STC over saturated soil slopes was found to be significantly greater than that over non-saturated soil slopes, and could be expressed as a product of power functions of water flow rate and slope gradient. This method can help estimate STC and obtain key parameters for soil erosion prediction models.
