A multi-institutional study of salivary gland cytopathology: Application of the milan system for reporting salivary gland cytopathology in Japan

Summary: The Milan System for Reporting Salivary Gland Cytopathology (MSRSGC) is a risk-stratification reporting system introduced in 2018. A multi-institutional study in Japan evaluated the utility of MSRSGC and found it to be useful for risk stratification and quality control in cytology of the salivary gland. Widespread use of MSRSGC in Japan would improve accuracy of salivary gland cytology and enhance patient care.
