Carl G. Streed et al.

Summary: Sociopolitical advances have improved the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals, but they still face discrimination in the health system. Health Disparities of Older Adults in California: The Role of Sexual Identity and Latinx Ethnicity

Soon Kyu Choi et al.

Summary: The study examined health disparities among older adults in California at the intersection of sexual identity and Latinx ethnicity. The results showed that Latinx LGB older adults experienced more serious psychological distress compared to non-LGB individuals, while no health disparities were found among non-Latinx older adults based on sexual identity. The most significant health disparities were found among straight older adults, particularly between Latinx and non-Latinx individuals.
