Pellagra a review exploring causes and mechanisms, including isoniazid-induced pellagra

Summary: Pellagra is a clinical syndrome caused by a deficiency of niacin and/or its precursor tryptophan, characterized by dermatitis, diarrhea, dementia, and potentially death. Increased use of isoniazid prophylaxis and antiretroviral therapy in countries with high rates of latent tuberculosis has been linked to a rise in pellagra cases.
