Alcohol Use Disorder and Its Associate Factors Relating to Patients with Severe Mental Disorders Attending Psychiatric Follow-Ups in Northwest Ethiopia

Summary: This study aimed to assess the prevalence and associated factors of alcohol use disorder among patients with severe mental disorders in northwest Ethiopia. The results showed a high prevalence of alcohol use disorder (36.2%) in this population, with factors such as male sex, younger age, specific psychiatric diagnoses, and poor social support significantly associated with the disorder.
