Changes in the topological organization of the default mode network in autism spectrum disorder

Liting Chen et al.

Summary: The study found that both ASD and HC participants exhibited small-world characteristics in the DMN, but there were no significant differences in global network measures. Compared to the control group, the ASD group showed significantly decreased and increased centralities in specific brain regions. Patients with ASD also displayed significantly altered functional connectivity within the DMN.

Brain functional connectivity patterns in focal cortical dysplasia related epilepsy

Wenyu Liu et al.

Summary: Functional connectivity patterns analysis showed that patients with FCD-related epilepsy exhibited more connections among brain networks, but weaker connectivity between the cerebellum and frontal regions compared to healthy controls. There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of global or regional efficiency, clustering coefficient, or characteristic path length.
