Tubulin carboxypeptidase activity of vasohibin-1 inhibits angiogenesis by interfering with endocytosis and trafficking of pro-angiogenic factor receptors

Miho Kobayashi et al.

Summary: Receptor endocytosis is crucial for integrating extracellular stimuli of pro-angiogenic factors, including VEGF, into the cell via signal transduction. VASH1 inhibits angiogenesis by detyrosinating alpha-tubulin in ECs, impairing VEGF receptor trafficking and signal transduction, and suppressing endothelial cell migration. Inhibition of VASH1's TCP activity leads to the restoration of VEGF-induced signals, EC migration, and angiogenesis.

Tubulin modifying enzymes as target for the treatment of tau-related diseases

Krzysztof Rogowski et al.

Summary: This article discusses the reduction of microtubule number and length in the brains of Alzheimer's disease patients, and the regulation of microtubule-associated proteins and molecular motors. Abnormal dissociation and hyperphosphorylation of MAP tau in neurons are primary events leading to neuronal death, while glutamylation and detyrosination impact the physicochemical properties at the surface of microtubules.

Study on the transcriptome for breast muscle of chickens and the function of key gene RAC2 on fibroblasts proliferation

Genxi Zhang et al.

Summary: The transcriptome of male Jinghai yellow chickens at different ages revealed genes, biological processes, and signaling pathways related to growth and development. Experimental interference with the differentially expressed gene RAC2 showed that it may affect chicken growth by regulating the PAKs/MAPK8 signaling pathway.

Skeletal Muscle Transcriptome Analysis of Hanzhong Ma Duck at Different Growth Stages Using RNA-Seq

Zhigang Hu et al.

Summary: This study investigated gene expression in the skeletal muscles of Hanzhong Ma ducks using high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. Various types of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and insertion-deletions (InDels) were identified, and a number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) associated with muscle development were highlighted. Results suggested that pathways related to actin cytoskeleton regulation, oxidative phosphorylation, and focal adhesion play roles in duck skeletal muscle development.
