Evaluation of Bioethanol Production from Sweet Sorghum Variety Roger under Different Tillage and Fertilizer Treatments

Iosvany Lopez-Sandin et al.

Summary: The study found that traditional plowing combined with plow layer breaking and application of organic fertilizer yielded the best results in terms of stem production, juice production, and ethanol yield for sweet sorghum variety Roger. Additionally, the extracted juice supported yeast growth and ethanol conversion without the need for nutrient supplementation. Sweet sorghum remains an interesting bioenergetic crop for first-generation biofuels production.
