In silico evaluation of flavonoids as effective antiviral agents on the spike glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2

Anisha S. Jain et al.

Summary: The novel coronavirus pandemic has spread to 213 countries globally, with preventive measures being taken. In this study, an in silico approach is used to inhibit the spike protein of the virus with flavonoids possessing antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Molecular docking and dynamics simulations were carried out to determine the most effective flavonoid compound against the virus.
