Structures of the glucocorticoid-bound adhesion receptor GPR97-Go complex

Yu-Qi Ping et al.

Summary: This study reveals how glucocorticoid stress hormones activate adhesion GPCR G3 and how glucocorticoids bind to its transmembrane domain, triggering receptor activation. The research also found that GPR97's cytoplasmic side has an open cavity where interactions with the Go protein contribute to its high basal activity.

Control of oviductal fluid flow by the G-protein coupled receptor Adgrd1 is essential for murine embryo transit

Enrica Bianchi et al.

Summary: Dysfunction of embryo transport can lead to ectopic pregnancy. Research shows that female mice lacking Adgrd1 are infertile due to dysregulated oviductal fluid flow, resulting in embryo retention in the ampulla.

Latrophilin GPCR signaling mediates synapse formation

Richard Sando et al.

Summary: Latrophilin-2 and Latrophilin-3 play essential roles in synapse formation in the hippocampus by requiring GPCR signaling to activate the classical GPCR-signaling pathway.

Elevated expression of the adhesion GPCR ADGRL4/ELTD1 promotes endothelial sprouting angiogenesis without activating canonical GPCR signalling

David M. Favara et al.

Summary: ADGRL4/ELTD1, an orphan adhesion GPCR expressed in endothelial cells, does not activate canonical GPCR signaling as proposed by the Stachel Hypothesis. Despite this, it is found to specifically regulate the endothelial tip-cell phenotype through undefined signaling pathways, affecting processes such as sprouting angiogenesis and proliferation.
