The limits of Riemann solutions to the relativistic van der Waals fluid

Yu Zhang et al.

Summary: By analyzing solutions to the relativistic van der Waals fluid, it was found that concentration and cavitation phenomena occur as pressure and molecular excluded volume drop to zero, forming delta-shock waves and vacuum states. The properties of elementary wave curves and the formation process of delta shocks and vacuums are influenced by pressure perturbation epsilon and the van der Waals excluded volume b, leading to a convergence towards delta-shock solutions and vacuum states in the pressureless relativistic Euler equations.

The phenomena of concentration and cavitation in the Riemann solution for the isentropic zero-pressure dusty gasdynamics

Rahul Kumar Chaturvedi et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the Riemann problem solution for pressureless isentropic dusty gas flow, discussing the concentration and cavitation phenomenon, as well as the formation of delta-shock and vacuum state in the flow field. The convergence of solutions containing shock waves and rarefaction waves to the transport equations' delta-shock and vacuum state solutions is also shown.
