Review on the Properties of Boron-Doped Diamond and One-Dimensional-Metal-Oxide Based P-N Heterojunction

Yu Yao et al.

Summary: This article mainly focuses on the optoelectronic properties of diamond-based one-dimensional-metal-oxide heterojunctions, discussing the use of different oxide types in the heterojunctions and addressing the challenges and future trends in this research area. The research results of about 10 years on high-performance diamond-based heterojunctions will contribute to the further development of photoelectric nano-devices for high-temperature and high-power applications.

Contact resistance of various metallisation schemes to superconducting boron doped diamond between 1.9 and 300 K

Scott A. Manifold et al.

Summary: The study confirmed the stability of several metal contact schemes to highly boron doped nanocrystalline diamond at low temperatures, with all contact schemes remaining ohmic at the lowest temperatures but showing significant temperature dependency at the critical temperature. Contact resistances ranged from (8.83 +/- 0.10) x 10(-4) Omega cm to (8.07 +/- 0.62) x 10(-6) Omega cm for different metal schemes.

Phase slips and metastability in granular boron-doped nanocrystalline diamond microbridges

G. M. Klemencic et al.

Summary: This study presents evidence of phase slippage in boron-doped nanocrystalline diamond microbridges through electrical transport measurements, despite their three-dimensional macroscopic geometry. The behavior is attributed to the unusual microstructure of the material, which forms an intrinsic Josephson junction array supporting phase slippage across the microbridge. Experimental results demonstrate the ability to deterministically switch between different superconducting states by applying electromagnetic noise pulses, indicating a metastable voltage state in these bridges.
