Summary: Optical diffraction tomography measures the three-dimensional refractive index map of a specimen and visualizes biochemical phenomena at the nanoscale in a non-destructive manner. The proposed deep neural network, DeepRegularizer, offers significant improvement in resolution of the refractive index map compared to conventional iterative methods. This data-driven approach shows potential for overcoming the high time complexity of image reconstructions in various imaging modalities.
