Circulating low CD4+/CD8+ ratio is associated with poor prognosis in Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia patients

Xin Cao et al.

Summary: The study found that a low CD4(+)/CD8(+) ratio in Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia patients at diagnosis is a poor prognostic factor. Patients with inverted CD4(+)/CD8(+) ratio who received initial treatment with rituximab or bortezomib had significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS).
