Super-exceptional embedding construction of the heterotic M5: Emergence of SU(2)-flavor sector

Domenico Fiorenza et al.

Summary: A new super-exceptional embedding construction for the heterotic M5-brane's sigma-model has been shown to generate the super-Nambu-Goto and Perry-Schwarz Lagrangians, along with additional fields and interactions resulting from probe M2- and M5-brane wrapping modes. This study classifies the full super-exceptional field content and explores its characteristic interactions. The emergence of SU(2) x U(1)-valued scalar and vector fields, as well as spinor fields with U(1) hypercharge +/- 1, from M2- and M5-brane wrapping modes is highlighted, along with the appearance of WZW-type terms in the super-exceptional PS-Lagrangian.
