Nonlinear Optics in Lead Halide Perovskites: Mechanisms and Applications

Weili Shen et al.

Summary: Lead halide perovskites are widely used in photodetectors, light-emitting diodes, solar cells, and lasers due to their excellent photophysical properties, and recent studies have shown their potential as serious nonlinear optical materials in nonlinear optics. The nonlinear optical devices prepared from perovskites based on their optical nonlinearity may open up new opportunities for the application of information and communication technology. Further research is needed to explore the full potential of lead halide perovskites in nonlinear optics and address the challenges they may face.

The Role of Rotational Motion in Diffusion NMR Experiments on Supramolecular Assemblies: Application to Sup35NM Fibrils

Boris B. Kharkov et al.

Summary: Researchers have developed a mathematical theory to explain the results of rod-like fibrils in PFG NMR experiments, which has been validated in the Sup35 protein fibrils. Signals from disordered regions in the fibrils can be readily distinguished from signals representing small soluble species, paving the way for diffusion-sorted NMR experiments on complex amyloidogenic samples.

Chiral 2D-Perovskite Nanowires for Stokes Photodetectors

Yingjie Zhao et al.

Summary: High-performance Stokes-parameter photodetectors are realized based on solution-processed chiral-perovskite nanowire arrays, which exhibit responsive circularly polarized light and large polarized ratio to linearly polarized light due to chiral ammonium cations and strictly aligned nanowires. The detectors demonstrate promising applications towards polarization imaging with their small footprint and high performance.
