Resveratrol supplementation and acute pancreatitis: A comprehensive review

Shahram Agah et al.

Summary: Resveratrol, a natural polyphenolic ingredient extracted from herbs, has the potential to attenuate acute pancreatitis (AP) by directly impacting cytokine generation and exerting pharmacological effects through anti-inflammatory and antioxidant mechanisms. This review sheds light on the pathways through which resveratrol might impact the management and control of AP in the future.
