Summary: Monitoring bat populations using bioacoustic technology with low-cost AudioMoth passive acoustic recorders was validated in this study. The accuracy of estimates using site-specific acoustic data at cave entrances was confirmed, providing a cost-effective and non-invasive approach for monitoring bat colonies. This method offers a practical tool for studying seasonal and inter-year roost dynamics in a simple and efficient way.
