Semidefective Graphene/h-BN In-Plane Heterostructures: Enhancing Interface Thermal Conductance by Topological Defects

Xin Wu et al.

Summary: By studying the topological defects of two-dimensional in-plane heterostructures, it was found that the interface thermal conductance can be significantly improved by controlling the defective concentration and system temperature. The different defective objects lead to radically different trends in the improvement of ITC.

The Impact of Interlayer Rotation on Thermal Transport Across Graphene/Hexagonal Boron Nitride van der Waals Heterostructure

Weijun Ren et al.

Summary: This study explores the influence of interlayer rotation angle theta on interfacial thermal transport across graphene/h-BN heterostructure using molecular dynamics simulation. The thermal conductance at the interface decreases with increasing rotation angle, mainly due to the reduction in low-frequency phonon contribution. Rotation enhances surface fluctuation in the graphene layer, leading to a rotation angle-dependent thermal conductance.

Thermal transport in pristine and defective two-dimensional polyaniline (C3N)

Xin Wu et al.

Summary: This study investigated the thermal transport properties of pristine and defective 2D-PANI using extensive molecular dynamics simulations. The results showed that structural defects significantly reduce the lattice thermal conductivity of 2D-PANI, and this reduction follows a low-power law with defect concentration. The differences in thermal conductivity weakening between vacancy and topological defects are mainly attributed to their differential effects on low-frequency out-of-plane phonons.

Tunable anisotropic thermal transport in porous carbon foams: The role of phonon coupling

Xue-Kun Chen et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigates thermal transport in CFs and finds that the anisotropic behavior is related to the group velocity of phonons and can be regulated by strains. The interfacial thermal conductance of CFs/silicon substrate is predicted to be about 35 MW/m(2) K-1 for thermal management applications.
