Independent position control of two identical magnetic microrobots in a plane using rotating permanent magnets

Masoud Yousefi et al.

Summary: Microrobots are of great interest for their various applications, and one major challenge is independently controlling multiple microrobots, especially identical ones. This paper introduces a novel actuation system for the simultaneous control of two identical magnetic microrobots in a planar position, achieving desired forces through rotating permanent magnets and a control strategy. Simulations and experiments demonstrate the system's capability in controlling the microrobots independently and discuss its limitations.
