Camelina, an ancient oilseed crop actively contributing to the rural renaissance in Europe. A review

Federica Zanetti et al.

Summary: Promoting crop diversification in European agriculture can enhance crop productivity, quality, and resilience while reducing environmental stresses. Camelina, with its broad environmental adaptability, low-input requirements, resistance to pests and diseases, and multiple uses, has been studied extensively in Europe over the past three decades. Despite its potential, further research and promotion are needed to scale up camelina cultivation in Europe.

Yield and development of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and spring barley (Hordeum vulgare) in field experiments with variable weather and drainage conditions

Kasper Jakob Steensgaard Jensen et al.

Summary: The importance of good drainage for improving crop yield and stability was highlighted in this study, where poor drainage conditions were found to potentially cause up to a 25% reduction in yield. The study also showed that factors other than nitrogen fertilization play a significant role in the reduction of yield potential due to poor field drainage.
