Magnetic dynamics with Weyl fermions

Summary: In this study, the transport of charge and valley degrees of freedom coupled to order-parameter dynamics in magnetic Weyl semimetals is investigated within the framework of nonequilibrium thermodynamics. Aside from the known valley-related transport anomalies rooted in band-structure topology, dissipative couplings between the system's dynamic constituents are constructed under electromagnetic perturbations. The research demonstrates the effective coupling between the charge and magnetic sectors mediated by the valley degree of freedom, through a combination of the chiral anomaly and Onsager-paired valley torque and pumping.
