Summary: This paper aims to develop a new framework for accurate estimation of the axial compression capacity (ACC) of square concrete-filled steel tubular (SCFST) columns using a novel hybrid artificial intelligence technique. The predictive model based on radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) and firefly algorithm (FFA) exhibits the highest efficiency and accuracy compared to other optimization algorithms and the trial and error method.
