The influence of a moderate temperature drift on thermal physiology and perception

Yoanna M. Ivanova et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of drifting ambient temperature versus fixed ambient temperature on human thermal physiological parameters and subjective perception. Results showed that energy expenditure was higher in the morning during the drifting session, which was accompanied by increased activity levels. Participants judged both drifting and fixed sessions as comfortable, with slightly lower thermal comfort in the morning and afternoon during the drift sessions.
