Consumer acceptance of cultured meat: some hints from Italy

Nadia Palmieri et al.

Summary: This paper contributes to the current literature on consumer acceptance of cultured meat by investigating the main factors that might affect it. The study found that Italian consumers have a generally positive perception of cultured meat, with age, environmental and ethical issues, and scepticism about new food technologies being the most important factors influencing acceptance. In order to increase acceptance, informing and educating consumers towards new food and new food production methods are crucial.

Market Opportunities for Hay Milk: Factors Influencing Perceptions among Italian Consumers

Nadia Palmieri et al.

Summary: Consumer awareness of milk quality has increased, with interest in how cows are fed and treated. This study in Italy found that factors such as curiosity, production place, culinary traditions, label, and environmental issues influence consumer intentions to consume milk from hay-fed cows. This suggests potential for marketing strategies targeting this niche market in Central and South Italy.
