Summary: The study suggests that typhoons may have a limited impact on net primary ocean production, challenging the traditional assumption of typhoons stimulating ocean productivity. Additionally, surface chlorophyll enhancements observed during typhoons are more likely to be linked to surface entrainment of deep chlorophyll maxima.
