Summary: The emissions from conventional vehicles due to the consumption of fossil fuels have been a major cause of climate change, while hybrid electric vehicles offer a cleaner solution. This study examined various hybrid powertrain designs through simulations and identified a P4 hybrid powertrain that meets the performance criteria of the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge competition.
