Outcomes for Physiologic Microsurgical Treatment of Secondary Lymphedema Involving the Extremity

Maureen Beederman et al.

Summary: The long-term impact of VLNT and LVB surgeries on secondary lymphedema patients was examined in this study. The results showed that most UEL patients and some LEL patients experienced a reduction in affected limb volume after surgery. UEL patients had a more substantial reduction in limb volume differential compared to LEL patients.

Is Immediate Lymphatic Reconstruction Cost-effective?

Anna Rose Johnson et al.

Summary: The study found that adding LYMPHA to both ALND or ALND with RLNR is more cost-effective for breast cancer patients with positive lymph nodes. The addition of LYMPHA to the surgical procedures showed higher clinical effectiveness gains and justified the increased incremental costs.
