A scalable computational approach to assessing response to name in toddlers with autism

Sam Perochon et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the use of a digital app with computer vision analysis to measure toddlers' response to their name, finding significant differences in response frequency and latency between children with and without ASD. Combining information about both aspects improved the ability to distinguish between the two groups. Digital phenotyping shows promise for early assessment of ASD symptoms.
