The functional equivalence of two variants of the suboptimal choice task: choice proportion and response latency as measures of value

Alejandro Macias et al.

Summary: The study shows that in the suboptimal-choice task, pigeons tend to choose the leaner but informative option over the richer but non-informative option. Additionally, the findings demonstrate that response latencies are a sensitive measure of value and choice.
