Heat-Moderating Effects of Bus Stop Shelters and Tree Shade on Public Transport Ridership

Summary: Bus stop shelters did not moderate the effect of high temperatures on ridership, while an increase in tree canopy was associated with a lesser decrease in ridership during high temperatures. Overall, shelters and trees were distributed equitably at bus stops.
