The study investigated the identity and phylogenetic placement of two lichenicolous Pleosporales, describing two new species found in the Azores and Spain, discussing their similarities and differences with other known species. Additionally, new hosts were identified for two existing species, expanding the knowledge on their distribution.
Se ha estudiado la identidad y localizaci?n filogenetica de dos hongos liquen?colas del orden Pleosporales. Se describen Didymocyrtis azorica en Hypotrachyna rockii, de las Islas Azores y Pseudopyrenidium epipertusariae en Pertusaria pertusa, de bosques montano-oce?nicos en Espa?a, con un anamorfo de tipo Phoma. Esta es la segunda especie del genero, as? que se discuten sus afinidades y diferencias con P. tartaricola. Se se?ala tambien Evernia prunastri y Heterodea muelleri como nuevos hospedantes de Didymocyrtis ramalinae y D. cladoniicola respectivamente. Two new species are described, Didymocyrtis azorica on Hypotrachyna rockii, from the Azores, and Pseudopyrenidium epipertusariae on Pertusaria pertusa, from Spain in oceanic montane woods, with a Phoma-like asexual state. This is the second species of Pseudopyrenidium, and the morphological similarities with P. tartaricola are discussed. In addition, Evernia prunastri is a new host for Didymocyrtis ramalinae, and Heterodea muelleri is a new host for D. cladoniicola, which is newly reported for Australia.
