Summary: This study found that patients with gastric cancer undergoing radical gastrectomy have worse survival outcomes when experiencing significant loss of adipose tissue during neoadjuvant treatment. The loss of visceral adipose tissue and subcutaneous adipose tissue during treatment was associated with poorer overall survival and disease-free survival, while changes in skeletal muscle mass and body weight did not affect survival.
