High-quality laser-assisted biomass-based turbostratic graphene for high-performance supercapacitors

Summary: The study of laser-assisted transformation of homogenized dried raisins to graphene-like materials shows promising results in achieving high-quality graphene in an environmentally friendly manner. The laser-irradiated product features a unique structure, different from traditional graphitic carbon, and exhibits high C/O ratio and low sheet resistance, demonstrating successful modification to graphene-like structure. Additionally, the process not only induces growth of graphene-like structures on the target, but also yields high-quality graphene-like powders with superior performance in supercapacitors.

Summary: The study shows that using phase change materials (PCMs) in buildings for additional heating can increase heat storage capacity by absorbing latent heat, providing an effective way to reduce energy consumption. The encapsulation methods at macro and micro levels are the most viable way to apply PCMs in construction elements, but more research is needed to process bio-based PCMs for increased environmental friendliness.
