Visceral adiposity index is associated with lung function impairment: a population-based study

Sunyue He et al.

Summary: This study reveals a clear correlation between the Visceral Adiposity Index (VAI) and lung function impairment in the Chinese population. A 10% increase in VAI was associated with a decrease in lung function predicted values in both men and women, with women also showing a positive correlation between VAI and FVC and FEV1 impairment.
