Bacteriophage Encapsulation Using Spray Drying for Phage Therapy

Danish J. Malik

Summary: The utilization of spray drying is essential for achieving scalable production of stable and cost-effective phage drug products. This process allows for the creation of phage-containing powders with good storage shelf-life, control over phage dose, and production of microparticles suitable for various therapeutic uses. Factors such as choice of polymers, excipients, and moisture content play a critical role in determining the stability of phages in dried powders.
