Genetic evolution and epidemiological analysis of Seneca Valley virus (SVV) in China

Jinyong Zhang et al.

Summary: A novel strain of SVV, CH-GX-01-2019, was detected in swine in Guangxi Province, China, showing high similarity with other SVV isolates. Chinese SVV isolates can be divided into three clusters, predominantly distributed in south and central China. The dominant epidemic SVV isolates in China have shifted from clusters 1 and 3 to cluster 2 between 2015 and 2019.
