Bacteria-derived membrane vesicles to advance targeted photothermal tumor ablation

Summary: The study found that a single intravenous injection of OMVs can activate the immune system by increasing the secretion levels of anti-tumor related cytokines. Additionally, it was observed that a single intravenous injection of OMVs can lead to extravasation of red blood cells in the tumor, mainly due to the effect of lipopolysaccharide on the OMVs.
