The study using H-1 NMR revealed that the transoid conformation of dihalogenated derivatives of cobalt bis(dicarbollide) [8,8 '-X-2-3,3 '-Co(1,2-C2B9H10)(2)](-) (X = Cl, Br, I), stabilized by intramolecular C-H... X hydrogen bonds between ligands, is maintained in solution.
The H-1 NMR study demonstrated that the transoid conformation of dihalogenated derivatives of cobalt bis(dicarbollide) [8,8 '-X-2-3,3 '-Co(1,2-C2B9H10)(2)](-) (X = Cl, Br, I), stabilized by intramolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot X hydrogen bonds between ligands, is retained in solution.
