Improvement of short-term aging resistance of styrene-butadiene rubber modified asphalt by Sasobit and epoxidized soybean oil

Qishi Li et al.

Summary: By adding Sasobit, ESO, and Sasobit/ESO composite to reduce the preparation temperatures of SBRMA mixture, it was found that the Sasobit/ESO composite not only has better lowering effects on temperatures, but also enhances the high- and low-temperature performance of SBRMA, mitigating the adverse impacts of aging on its performance.

Effectiveness of Different Categories of Rejuvenators in Recycled Asphalt Mixtures

Gurunath Guduru et al.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of different rejuvenators in restoring the desired properties of asphalt mixes with a high content of reclaimed asphalt pavement material. Results indicate that rejuvenators of the paraffinic oil category showed the lowest effectiveness, while rejuvenators of the fatty acids category were more effective in improving asphalt mix performance. Crude tallow was found to have inferior fatigue resistance properties.
