Summary: The paper presents a combined experimental-numerical study for characterizing fine spray-dried powder used in the ceramic tile pressing process, and extends an algorithm for solving the numerical simulation of powder dynamics through the Discrete Element Method. The results demonstrated that the developed codes outperformed LIGGGHTS in demanding scenarios with a large number of small particles.
