This paper investigates the traveling wave reduction of the generalized Sasa-Satsuma equation with arbitrary refractive index, explores methods for finding exact solutions of nonlinear differential equations, and identifies periodic and solitary wave solutions of the generalized Sasa-Satsuma equation with arbitrary refractive index.
Traveling wave reduction of the generalized Sasa?Satsuma equation with arbitrary refractive index is considered. The system of equations corresponding to the real and imaginary parts is presented. The two compatibility conditions to this system equations are given. Methods for finding exact solutions of nonlinear differential equations with arbitrary powers of non linearity are presented and discussed. Periodic and solitary wave solutions of the generalized Sasa?Satsuma equation with arbitrary refractive index are found.
