Shaping of gallate-based metal-organic frameworks for adsorption separation of ethylene from acetylene and ethane

Kaiyi Wu et al.

Summary: Shaping metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) powders into formed bodies using hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) as a binder for gallate-based MOFs pellets can solve issues such as high pressure drop, pipe blockage, and dust pollution in industrial applications. The well-shaped M-gallate pellets exhibit excellent separation performance and are promising candidates for practical industrial realization.

Zirconium(IV)-based metal-organic framework for determination of imidacloprid and thiamethoxam pesticides from fruits by UPLC-MS/MS

Yan Xu et al.

Summary: Zirconium(IV)-based metal-organic framework UiO-66-NH2 was synthesized for adsorbing imidacloprid and thiamethoxam in fruit samples, with key experimental parameters optimized using response surface methodology. The recovery rates of imidacloprid and thiamethoxam were high under optimum conditions, and the method was successfully applied for detecting these pesticides in different fruit samples. This study showed that UiO-66-NH2 is an excellent adsorbent for extracting imidacloprid and thiamethoxam from fruit samples.

Porous cage-like hollow magnetic carbon-doped CoO nanocomposite as an advanced sorbent for magnetic solid-phase extraction of nine polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons

Pengfei Huang et al.

Summary: In this study, a porous cage-like hollow magnetic carbon-doped CoO nanocomposite was synthesized and showed excellent magnetic response and adsorption capacity for the analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The method using this nanocomposite for solid-phase extraction coupled with HPLC had good RSDs and a satisfying linearity range, with low LOD and LOQ values for the PAHs. The experimental results suggested that the prepared nanocomposite had potential applications for the removal of hazardous pollutants from environmental samples.
