Influences of Ti additions on the microstructure and tensile properties of AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high entropy alloy

Xiaohua Chen et al.

Summary: TixAlCoCrFeNi2.1 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2) high entropy alloys (HEAs) were prepared by vacuum arc melting and suction casting. The influence of Ti addition on microstructure and properties was investigated. The addition of Ti led to a microstructure transition from lamellae to petal-like morphology, forming a dual phase of L1(2) and B2, which contributed to the enhancement of ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and ductility.
