Regeneration capacity after exposure to freezing in wild oat (Avena ludoviciana Durieu.) and turnipweed (Rapistrum rugosum (L.) All.) in comparison with winter wheat

Alireza Hasanfard et al.

Summary: Wild oat and turnipweed are the most important annual weeds in winter wheat fields in the Khorasan Razavi province of Iran. The study found that wild oat had higher freezing tolerance compared to turnipweed and wheat, while turnipweed and wheat had similar tolerance levels. After freezing treatment, the presence of these weeds in wheat fields is likely to continue.
