Field-induced charge symmetry revealed by nuclear magnetic resonance in the topological insulator Bi2Te3

Summary: NMR was used to investigate the hidden properties of charge carriers in topological insulators, Bi2Te3, revealing two electric field gradients at Bi-209, one fixed with the lattice and the other following the external magnetic field rotation. This alternate quadrupolar relaxation is believed to lead to special properties such as electronic specific heat.
