This review summarizes the development and electrochemical performance of NiCo2S4 and its composites in the field of supercapacitors, specifically focusing on morphological structure, synthesis method, and action mechanism. The challenges and future development tendency of NiCo2S4-based composites have also been discussed.
The electrochemical performance of supercapacitor has been determined by the electrode material, which has become the key point of research. Due to its advantages of low cost, easy attainment, environmental friendliness, NiCo2S4 has been an attractive candidate for fabricating supercapacitors. In this review, the development and electrochemical performance of NiCo2S4 and its composites in the field of supercapacitors are summarized specifically from morphological structure, synthesis method, and action mechanism. In addition, the challenges and future development tendency of NiCo2S4-based composites have been discussed.
